32-year-old Shane Collins of Newburgh, Indiana, was arrested on Monday at his apartment on "numerous charges for sex crimes against children," according to the Warrick County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office says the investigation began when detectives assigned to the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a CyberTipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicating that an individual in Newburgh had uploaded images and videos containing child pornography to the internet.
According to WCSO, the investigation led to the execution of a search warrant that same day at Collins' apartment in Newburgh. WCSO says that information gathered during the execution of the search warrant led to the arrest of Collins at his apartment.
The Warrick County Prosecutor’s Office formally filed the following charges in Warrick Superior Court No. 2:
- Child Molesting, a Level 1 felony (2 Counts)
