Jesi's Ride Against Domestic Violence will roll out of Mt. Carmel, Illinois on Saturday, August 21st.

The event honors the memory of Jesi Tice who was gunned down by her estranged boyfriend outside a Princeton, Indiana Restaurant in 2013.

The 34-year-old mother of three had just celebrated her son's eighth-grade graduation at the restaurant.

To prevent a similar tragedy from happening to other women, the ride will be raising money for the Safe Haven Women and Children's Shelter in Mt. Carmel.

Riders can sign up at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Club on Poplar Street starting at 8:30 a.m. that morning. The ride will start at 10 a.m.

If you would like to join the ride at the first stop in Oakland City, you can sign up at the Eagles Club there.

It is $20 per rider and $10 per passenger.

When the group returns to Mt. Carmel, organizers plan to hold a car, truck & bike show that will start at 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the Eagles Club on Poplar Street.

It will include trophies and ribbons for the first 40 entries. They are asking for a donation at registration.

Along with the car show, there will also be a benefit dinner and auction happening inside the club.

For $10 a plate, they will be serving Beer Bones BBQ's pulled pork and smoked chicken along with sides, dessert, and a drink.

The band Black Stone will take the stage at 8 p.m. to close out the night.

Scattered rainfall continues to affect portions of the Tri-State and it seems as though it will continue to do so through the remainder of the evening and overnight. After reaching an afternoon high near 80° earlier on, expect temperatures to gradually fall toward 70° by dinnertime before dwindling into the mid 60s by 10 o'clock. Overnight lows will dive all the way back down into the upper 50s by the predawn hours Wednesday; we'll fall to 58° in Evansville. The cold front and associated low responsible for all of our rain chances both today and tonight is expected to stall stall Wednesday, prolonging our isolated rain chances tomorrow, especcially for those of us north and east of Evasnville.
