Even before this week's winter weather, delivery restaurants like Papa John's have been going gangbusters, thanks to Coronavirus, as delivery has been the name of the game for restaurants. However, now with the ice and snow, they are absolutely inundated with calls every day.
The Papa John's on Weinbach has been going full bore, from their opening at 10 a-m until the wee small hours of the morning. Director of operations for the Evansville area, Craig Larson says that winter weather and the pandemic has made delivery necessary for many.

"Coronavirus has really impacted us too," said Lawson. "People are afraid to get out. So delivery is their option."
"It's been exhausting, taking it one day at a time," said veteran delivery driver Matthew Stone. "Money's been nice. People are actually recognizing what we do and take the opportunity to compensate us well for it."
"A lot of our drivers, drive small cars, like that are close to the ground, for good gas mileage," said Lawson. "So, it's hard for them to get around in this."
Just how busy are these delivery places? Lawson Papa John's says he's desperately looking for drivers now. If you're interested go to snagajob.com and apply.
