Feed Evansville has become a weekly staple for many families in the Tri-State.

Now the county is hoping to capitalize on the large number of people who drive up each Wednesday to boost herd immunity.

The Vanderburgh County Health Department's new mobile vaccine unit will be set up at Hartke Pool during the food shares to offer vaccines to anyone who wants them.

The new effort will run through June.

Volunteers hand out USDA food boxes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. or until supplies last at the location off Boeke Road.

Anyone who is in need is welcome to pick up a box that includes protein, dairy and fresh produce.

It's a cool, but beautiful start to our Thursday! Conditions will hold together for an absolutely gorgeous afternoon. Highs will still be below normal, but we'll take some high 60s under mostly sunny skies. The 70s could make a come back as soon as tomorrow!
