Evansville Man Arrested on Child Molestation Charges

An Evansville man was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on Thursday on felony charges of Child Molesting and Sexual Misconduct With a Minor after an investigation led by the Evansville Police Department.

According to an affidavit filed by EPD, 44-year-old Christopher McGee of Evansville was charged with three counts of Child Molesting and three counts of Sexual Misconduct With a Minor following the investigation.

The investigation began after someone told police they found messages on McGee's phone where he was talking about having sex with an underage individual.

Police say they contacted the victim, who told them the abuse had been occurring for several years.

According to an arrest affidavit, McGee admitted to police that the abuse had occurred several times a month.

McGee remains in the Vanderburgh County Jail on no bond.

The cold front and associated low responsible for all of our rain chances both today and tonight is expected to stall stall Wednesday, prolonging our isolated rain chances tomorrow, especcially for those of us north and east of Evasnville.
