Evansville Police are still asking witnesses to come forward after a female pedestrian was struck by two vehicles Thursday night.

According to the Evansville Police Department, officers were called to the 2600 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue where the victim was found in the street unconscious.

Witnesses at the scene said they saw the woman leave Leroy's Tavern and walk into the street. Police believe it was then that she was struck by a westbound vehicle, bounced off the hood, and struck by an eastbound vehicle.

Police say the accident happened shortly after the victim left the tavern around 7:30 PM.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment but is expected to survive her injuries.

Anyone who witnessed this accident is being asked to contact the Evansville Police Department.

It's a cool, but beautiful start to our Thursday! Conditions will hold together for an absolutely gorgeous afternoon. Highs will still be below normal, but we'll take some high 60s under mostly sunny skies. The 70s could make a come back as soon as tomorrow!
