COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics Planned at Ohio County Schools

The Green River District Health Department is planning two COVID-19 vaccine clinics at schools in Ohio County.

Two COVID-19 vaccine clinics are being planned at schools in Ohio County, Kentucky.

The Green River District Health Department will host the vaccine clinics on Thursday, Aug. 5, at Ohio County Middle School and Horse Branch Elementary.

The vaccine clinic at Ohio County Middle School will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the clinic at Horse Branch Elementary from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Pfizer vaccine will be distributed at both clinics, allowing anyone who's at least 12-years-old to receive their shot.

Anyone with questions about either vaccine clinic is encouraged to call the Ohio County Health Center at 270-344-5591.

Scattered rainfall continues to affect portions of the Tri-State and it seems as though it will continue to do so through the remainder of the evening and overnight. After reaching an afternoon high near 80° earlier on, expect temperatures to gradually fall toward 70° by dinnertime before dwindling into the mid 60s by 10 o'clock. Overnight lows will dive all the way back down into the upper 50s by the predawn hours Wednesday; we'll fall to 58° in Evansville. The cold front and associated low responsible for all of our rain chances both today and tonight is expected to stall stall Wednesday, prolonging our isolated rain chances tomorrow, especcially for those of us north and east of Evasnville.
